MostCare^Up is a minimally invasive and real-time haemodynamic monitor based on the analysis of the blood pressure waveform for a better therapeutic decision support.
MostCare^Up functioning is based on the patented PRAM algorithm (Pressure Recording Analytical Method) which allows the blood pressure signal to be analysed at a frequency of 1000 Hz and providing real-time values of haemodynamic variables .
MostCare^Up is a beat-by-beat monitor: every single beat is detected. Each variation on the haemodynamic state of the patient and each reaction to a treatment or administered drug are detected and analysed by PRAM before being displayed on the MostCare^Up screen. Therefore, MostCare^Up can detect the value of the dicrotic pressure, providing information about the vascular condition and the ventricle-arterial coupling. In addition to this, PRAM method is also able to calculate the characteristic impedance of the cardiovascular system specific to the patient monitored, in real time and continuously.

Thus, MostCare^Up is considering each patient as unique, in his own specific clinical condition without any kind of calibration.

MostCare^Up can be connected to any brand of arterial catheter, for both radial and femoral sites. It can also be connected to any brand of transducer (several references of transducer cables are available). The only thing that needs to be done is simply to connect one cable from the MostCare^Up monitor to the ABP transducer or to the standard bedside monitor.
Thus, MostCare^Up does not require any additional disposables.

In absence of the transducer cable you require, you should refer to the cables’ catalogue and check our solutions to establish the analog connection with the bedside monitor used in the hospital. All you have to check is the brand and the model of the bedside monitor. We are working constantly to make different types of analog cables available to connect directly MostCare^Up to different brands of monitors.

MostCare^Up is able to provide standard hospital information systems with MostCare^Up variables’ values via LAN or via Wi-Fi, using the standard language HL7.

MostCare^Up has been validated on pediatric population as well, e.g. against Echo-Doppler in 48 pediatric intensive care patients (from 1 month to 18 years), and several other studies highlight the effective use of the PRAM method in pediatrics.
There is no specific limit of age impacting on PRAM performance and MostCare^Up monitor is currently in use in everyday clinical practice up to 1kg weight babies.
